Abstract

Artificial leather, while drawing attention with its aesthetic appearance, has become one of the most preferred materials for outdoor furniture, public transportation vehicles, and public spaces due to its durability against sunlight, humidity, and temperature changes. SolarClean, the self-cleaning artificial leather technology, offers an automatic cleaning mechanism without the need for physical intervention, chemical cleaners, or water. SolarClean is a photocatalytic and nanotechnological coating technology applied to the surface of artificial leather. This coating contains nano-sized titanium dioxide (TiO2) particles, which are integrated into the surface of the artificial leather, providing an active cleaning mechanism.
