Abstract

As technology develops, so does the demand for products that make our lives easier. Cordless stick vacuum cleaners are one of these products and have become increasingly popular in recent years particularly for the convenience of being cordless. However, there are many factors affecting battery life and vacuum performance of cordless stick cleaners, the most important of these factors is the heating of the battery. One solution to this problem is a design that aims to reduce the battery temperature and increase the vacuum performance of the cleaner by directing some of the outlet air from the motor to the battery pack. Tests were carried out with the air flow path closed and the air flow path open. As a result of the tests, it was observed that the battery performance and usage performance increased by approximately 30% when the air flow path was open.
